"For me, at this age, I am just beginning to learn how women can help other women. The power behind building each other up, rather than tearing each other down. It is exciting one you realize its potential. You can feel supported by anyone who has a loving heart, but the unique ability for women to understand and comfort other women, to empower other women, encourage and champion other women - it somehow makes you feel as though you have come full circle. The 'collaboration is greater than competition' model is what we need to be following. And the women who have influenced me are within arms reach. They are not celebrities. They are coworkers, neighbors, friends, aunts, sisters, nieces, artists, business owners, volunteers, my moms, my step-daughter. Positive influences are all around us. We just need to see them and allow them to see us, in order to harness the power we have inside of us that has yet to be realized."
"I am a wife, stepmom, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, friend."
